Little Baylor Ehling is playing Santa Claus for all her friends at Dr. Rosen’s pediatric oncology office in Wichita. With a big bag full of gifts, she makes her way down the hall to surprise unsuspecting patients.

“Baylor, when we told her this idea she wanted to by like Santa,” her mother said. “Her idea of Santa included a beard, but we kind of nixed that idea.”

Young cancer survivor raises thousands to help kids undergoing chemo

This bubbly kid wasn’t always so energetic. Two years ago, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and her holidays were spend getting treatments.

Addie, her mom, wanted to give back to children because Baylor was once in their shoes.

“We were able to fill about 35 bags for the patients here at Dr. Rosen’s office. We have leftover gifts that we will be giving to all the local hospitals later this week,” Addie said.

Baylor is better now, and that’s why this Christmas is so special.

“Being on the other side of it this year and being able to give back instead of being on the receiving side, it’s so neat to see the reactions of the patients and their families.”

With a gift bag just as big as her body, Baylor trots down to bring other kids a little Christmas cheer.

Baylor’s mom hopes the gifts can lift some spirits for kids undergoing chemo treatments this year.
