The American Junior Golf Association has finalized the tournament field for the Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All Star, to be held at WindStone Golf Club in Ringgold next Monday Thursday.
The 54 hole stroke play event will feature 96 juniors from the Ringgold/Chattanooga area and around the country.
The Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All Star is one of 10 events in the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All Star Series. Specifically designed for boys and girls ages 12 15, the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All Star Series presents opportunities for younger players to develop their skills and earn entry into AJGA Open tournaments. The Series concludes with the Junior All Star at Robinson Ranch over Columbus Day weekend for winners and top finishers in Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All Star Series events.
Twenty two players from the home state of Georgia will compete in the Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All Star as well as Chattanooga locals Scott Stevens and Warren Blakesly.
Corey Carlson of Green Cove Springs, Fla., looks to stay hot after winning the TaylorMade adidas Golf Junior All Star at Chteau lan in April, his most recent start at a national junior golf event. Carlson finished in a tie for 18th in 2010’s Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All Star.
In the Kayla Jones of Alpharetta, Ga., is also looking to build on a strong finish in the TaylorMade adidas Golf Junior All Star at Chteau lan last April. She finished fourth and looks to carry that momentum to WindStone Golf Club. shotgun practice round Monday. off the No. 1 tee at WindStone Golf Club.
An awards ceremony will be held immediately following Thursday’s final round. Spectators are welcome to attend and admission is free of charge.
The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12 18) of approximately 5,
