custom embroidered polo shirts no minimum Graduation attire for Fort Mac evacuees
A Facebook page dedicated to help displaced Fort McMurray high school graduates with another avenue seeking grad dresses attire for upcoming ceremonies has a local angle to it. to allow for soon to be grads from Fort McMurray to peruse their wide selection and satisfy their grad dress/accessory needs with ceremonies approaching quickly.
event is open to all students, family and grad escorts that have been displaced due to the recent tragic events in the Fort McMurray area. We will have hundreds if not thousands of dresses on display, ranging from size 0 up to size 24.
of these dresses are new with tags still attached. The others are in excellent used condition and have been generously donated by our members from all across Canada! We will also have men attire, shoes, accessories and more. We will have change rooms set up for trying on gowns and attire. There is no charge for this event. And if the student finds the dress of their dreams, they can simply walk out with it, no fees or strings attached, reads the Facebook page.
Veronica Osterman of Calgary is the original creator of the page and decided to create it after she lost her grad dress in the Calgary floods of 2013.
Angela Pauls, the owner of Do Something Magazine out of Millet and the creator of The Prom Project in the Leduc area earlier this year, was introduced to Osterman through the page and the two ended up creating a partnership.
The Prom Project provided prom attire for high school students at free of cost and after Paul had about 100 left over, she wanted to find a way to donate those.
in all of this it became a joint venture and decided to host something in Leduc for all the kids who needed something right away, said Pauls.
The grad clothing isn available for just the grads, Pauls said. There is attire for their dates, siblings, parents and other loved ones who will be attending.
Since the page has been created, Pauls has been contact by several families and grad students in need of attire.
